While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
Luke 2: 6-7
On that holy night, thousands of years ago, baby Jesus was wrapped in a swaddling blanket and placed in a manger, because there was no room at the inn.
This Christmas, in the season of Advent, Leesburg United Methodist Church invites you to “make room” for Jesus as we prepare for his arrival. And, here at LUMC, there’s room for you.
Here’s how we’re celebrating all season long!
Join us at one of our four Christmas Eve worship services, with online and in-person options!

This candlelight service features traditional music from our organist, with lessons and carols, communion.
4:00 p.m. Family Service (in-person)
This family friendly worship service with lessons and carols culminates with a special glow stick candlelight caroling just for the little ones.

This holiday season, we’re giving back to our community. Stop by Wesley Hall to pick up an Angel Tag from our Angel Tree to help bless a local child this Christmas season with gifts, sign up to ring bells for the Salvation Army, or bring donations of non-perishables for our monthly Loudoun Hunger Relief food drive!
What’s the season of Advent without some celebrating? Help decorate the church for Christmas while enjoying a hot cocoa and cookie bar on November 27 at our Advent Decorating Party. Then, on Leesburg’s last First Friday of the year on December 3, stop by our Night in Bethlehem experience before enjoying the town Christmas tree lighting. On Sunday, December 5, support our college students by stopping by the United Methodist Women’s cookie and angel sale.
For When the Holidays Are Hard
Sometimes the Christmas season often heightens our sense of loss. Acknowledge the lament you feel by lighting a candle on our Blue Christmas tree, located on the patio outside the sanctuary from December 12 - 24.
